President
- Presides over Fall and Spring state meetings
- Jointly responsible, with Vice-President and local host, for organizing the Spring and Fall state meetings with input from the Executive Committee
- Provides direction for the state organization
- Ultimately responsible for the proper use of AzAAPT funds
- Serves as Chairman of the Executive Committee
- Appoints sub committees as needed
Vice-President
- Automatically becomes President if the president is no longer able to fulfill the execution of his/her duties
- Fills in for the President when the President is absent
- Jointly responsible, with President and local host, for organizing the Spring and Fall state meetings with input from the Executive Committee
- Prepares and distributes Certificates of Attendance to members who attend the state meetings
- Serves as a member of the Executive Committee
Past-President
- Serves as advisor to the President
- Serves as a member of all subcommittees, reporting back to the Executive Committee
- Responsible for membership recruitment/contacts
- Responsible for coordination, direction and maintaining communication among the Representatives
- Serves as a member of the Executive Committee
Treasurer
- Executes the proper use of funds as directed by the president
- Maintains proper records of AzAAPT finances
- Reports the financial status of AzAAPT at each state meeting
- Collects annual dues
- Deposts all cash/check funds into bank
- Handles all credit card transactions at meeting (via Paypal Here)
- Maintains list of current members
- Serves as a Member of the Executive Committee
- Maintains website
Secretary
- Responsible for sending and receiving official AzAAPT correspondence
- Records all meeting minutes and provides them to treasurer to be placed on website
- Serves as a Member of the Executive Committee
Section Representative
- Must be a paying member of AAPT
- Maintains communication between the National and State organizations
- Attends the National Meetings (or finds substitute to do so)
- Reports National issues to the Executive Committee
- Reports events from National Meetings to all members at the State meetings
- Serves as a Member of the Executive Committee
University Representative (4-Year Rep)
- Promote communication between their constituents and the state organization
- Encourage membership in the state organization by their constituents
- Try to maintain contacts with their constituents, including updating of mailing lists
- Encourage participation of their constituents at state meetings
- Serves as a member of the Executive Committee
- Provides support to local host when state meeting is in his/her region
College Representative (2-Year Rep)
- Promote communication between their constituents and the state organization
- Encourage membership in the state organization by their constituents
- Try to maintain contacts with their constituents, including updating of mailing lists
- Encourage participation of their constituents at state meetings
- Serves as a member of the Executive Committee
- Provides support to local host when state meeting is in his/her region
High School Representative
- Promote communication between their constituents and the state organization
- Encourage membership in the state organization by their constituents
- Try to maintain contacts with their constituents, including updating of mailing lists
- Encourage participation of their constituents at state meetings
- Serves as a member of the Executive Committee
- Provides support to local host when state meeting is in his/her region
